I did not expect company—not tonight, not when the house had fallen so dark even memory whispered softly.
Somewhere above, the stars waited like old friends, watching the sky prepare for another flight between sorrow and hope.
The bird tilted its head, far too smart for coincidence, and I wondered if every shadow arrives with a hidden message.
Perhaps healing does not announce itself. Perhaps it simply waits for us to begin again, to stop feeding old regret, and trust what quietly knocks at the soul.
The crow stayed only a moment—just long enough to remind me that endings are rarely endings at all.
