Monday Living Poetry Prompt with Bart :
This week let’s write a patient poem. In this context, “patient” is the adjective meaning to be willing or able to wait. Show us someone or something that illustrates patience. Don’t rush! But still post your poem in the comments below.
Monday Poetry Prompt: Patient
Patience

Patience is the sea
returning faithfully to the shore,
never angry that the tide must leave before it comes back again.
Patience is the old tree standing through seasons—
through storms,
through drought,
never doubting
that spring remembers
the way home.
Patience is sunset,
never rushing
the sky
to turn gold,
simply waiting
until the light
is ready
to soften.
And perhaps,
patience is us—
learning that not everything
blooms when we wish,
that some answers arrive quietly,
like boats returning
only when the sea
has finally grown calm.
With love
