Just Rojie – Day 7

What’s the kindest thing someone has done for you?
At 55, I have been blessed to meet many kind souls along the way.
Kindness has shown up in different forms throughout my life — sometimes in words, sometimes in support, and sometimes simply by someone showing up when life feels heavy.
But if I think about recent months, one act of kindness stands out.
After my operation, my best friend came to pick me up from the hospital. Since I wasn’t allowed to drive for ten days, she stepped in without hesitation. She took my girls grocery shopping and helped with practical things that suddenly felt impossible for me to manage.
Many of you know my husband has been bedridden since an accident three years ago, so naturally he cannot help much with the practical side of daily life.
When you’re used to being the strong one, accepting help can feel difficult.
But kindness often arrives quietly — in lifts home, shopping bags, and people who simply say:
“Don’t worry, I’ve got this.”
And sometimes, those moments mean more than words can explain.
With love
