Celebrate

Celebrate is a word I have learned to understand differently with age.
I no longer celebrate only big milestones, but also quiet moments of peace.
As a child, summer meant freedom, lighter evenings, ice cream, laughter, swimming, adventures, horses, family gatherings, and feeling like time stretched forever.
Those memories still carry warmth when I think about them.
But if I am honest, I do not miss childhood itself.
There were things I survived that I would never wish to relive.
I celebrate the woman I became instead.
The one who learned resilience, softness, and how to create peace where there once was chaos.
Growing older has taught me that happiness sometimes arrives quietly.
And today, I celebrate being genuinely happy where I am in life.
With love
