Foundation

Foundation.

The part no one always sees.

Hidden
beneath walls,
beneath dreams,
beneath everything
we try to build.

A house
is only as strong
as what holds it up.

So are people.

Love.

Families.

Healing.

Trust becomes
a foundation.

Kindness too.

The quiet people
who stay
when storms arrive.

The lessons
that taught us
how not to break.

And sometimes—

after life
has shaken everything,

we are asked
to rebuild.

Not from perfection.

But from truth.

Brick by brick.

Hope by hope.

Perhaps strength
is not standing forever—

perhaps strength
is learning

how to build
a stronger foundation

after the ground
has moved beneath you.
