What do you see # 342- 25 May, 2026

Between Arrivals and Leaving
Some are rising.
Some are returning.
Some stand still,
bags in hand,
hearts somewhere else entirely.
The escalators move without asking—
up, down,
departure, arrival,
again and again like breath in a city that never truly pauses.
Light pours in
from somewhere above,
turning strangers into silhouettes,
stories into shadows.
What I see
is the quiet choreography
of ordinary lives:
someone rushing home,
someone leaving it,
someone carrying too much—
in luggage
or memory.
We cross paths
without knowing
who is grieving,
who is hopeful,
who just heard good news
or goodbye.
Yet for a moment,
we share the same station,
the same waiting,
the same in-between.
Because life, sometimes,
feels exactly like this—
standing between
going up
and coming down,
trying to remember
which way
your heart is travelling.
