The siren of memory still hums beneath the skin, a low ache between sighs.

I hear the knocking—soft at first, then louder, like old screams trapped behind forgotten doors.

Something begins to slip, a shadow of the curseI thought I had already outwalked.

For a moment, I feel lost, standing between what was and what longs to become.

But somewhere beneath the noise, something remains still.

Something true.

And slowly, I return to my own breath—quietly, centered again.

With love

Great paced piece of poetry, of the sudden, intrusive rush of memory, and the grounding process required to pull oneself back🙌
