Honest

Honest.

A simple word.

Yet one of the hardest things to be.

Because honesty
is not only telling the truth to others—

sometimes
it is telling it to ourselves.

I am tired.

I am hurting.

I deserve better.

I miss what is gone.

I am stronger
than I thought.

Honesty asks us
to stop hiding behind the masks we wear to survive.

Not cruel honesty.

Not honesty
used like a weapon.

But the soft kind.

The brave kind.

The kind that whispers:

You do not have
to pretend today.

Perhaps healing begins the moment we become 

honest about what hurts,

what matters,

and what still deserves a place inside hope.
