Correction

Correction.

Such a human word.

A teacher’s red pen.
A wrong turnquietly adjusted.
A sentence rewritten after understanding arrives.

We spend so much of life correcting ourselves.

Trying again.
Learning better.
Apologizing.
Beginning over.

But correction
is not punishment.

Not always.

Sometimes 
it is grace wearing practical shoes.

Life gently saying:

Not this way.

Try again.

Perhaps growth
is simply
allowing ourselves to be corrected

without believing we have failed.

Because wisdom often begins the moment we stop defending mistakes

and start listening
to what they came to teach us.
