Every Other Month

Smoke always reminds me of stories that linger long after the fire is gone. A trace in the air. A memory you can still feel even when you cannot hold it anymore.
Recently, I finished listening to the audiobooks of The Legend of the Ice People, The Warlock, and The Realm of Light ( This trilogy contains 82 books ). I first discovered the Ice People series in the late 1980s, when I waited eagerly for every new book release every other month. Back then, the stories lived on crowded bookshelves in Norway, their worn covers carrying entire worlds inside them.
This was the first time I experienced them through audio instead of print. Hearing the voices brought the characters alive in a completely different way. It felt as though old memories were rising like smoke from another lifetime.
The stories still carried the same darkness, longing, love, and supernatural pull that captured me all those years ago. Some books do not simply entertain you. They follow you through decades. And even after the final chapter fades, the smoke remains.
