Rigamarole
I had never heard the word before.
Rigamarole.
It sounds like something tangled.
A conversation that circles endlessly without ever arriving.
The exhausting dance of explanations, rules, paperwork, performances, pretending.
The kind of noise that drains the soul.
Sometimes life becomes a rigamarole.
Too many masks. Too many steps. Too many people expecting polished answers from wounded hearts.
And somewhere inside it all, you begin to miss simple things.
Honest laughter. Quiet mornings. A truth spoken plainly.
Maybe wisdom arrives when we stop participating in every unnecessary rigamarole the world offers us.
Not every battle deserves your energy.
Not every argument deserves your voice.
Some peace is found by stepping away from the circus completely.
And maybe freedom is not becoming louder—
but becoming clearer.
