Monday Wordle.# 476

In response to Di’s weekly Prompt: https://wp.me/p1vVkp-3iN

What Still Leaks Through

The old kitchen tap would always leak at night, a slow rhythm of annoyance echoing through the dark.

It felt strangely awkward, how something so small could hold so much memory.

We argued once about the cost of fixing things—whether replacing them was cheaper than learning how to stay.

Funny, the difference between objects and people.

The faded chrome still caught the light, even after years of neglect, even after all the quiet waste we never spoke about.

There was the faint smell of lemon cleaner, a scent that still takes me on a trip back to who we used to be.

And somehow, despite everything, some parts of love still leak through the cracks.

With love

Thanks for joining in Maggie. Nice take. Taps or shower heads tend to drip when you’re not expecting it!
