Vicarious

To feel
through another.

To experience
something indirectly—yet still
be moved by it.

A story
that becomes personal.
A song
that feels
like your own memory.

We do this
more than we realize.

Through books.
Through music.
Through the lives
of those we love.

Their joy
touches us.
Their grief
echoes inside us.

Because connection
does not always require
direct experience.

Sometimes…empathy
crosses the distance.

And for a moment—someone else’s world
becomes part of yours.

Not imitation.
Not ownership.

Just understanding.

A reminder
that human hearts
are rarely separate.
