GLAD • GIRL • GIFT

There’s still a part 
of me
that feels like that girl.

The one who laughed too loudly,
dreamed too deeply,
and carried whole worlds inside her heart.

She’s older now,
a little softer around the edges,
a little wiser perhaps—but she’s still here.

And honestly?
I’m glad.

Because life changes us.
It stretches us,
tests us,
asks us to become more than we ever expected.

But some things remain.

Kindness.
Wonder.
The quiet ability
to still find beauty
in small moments.

And maybe
that’s the real gift.

Not perfection.
Not having everything figured out.

Just being able
to move through life
with your heart 
still open—
despite everything.

So today,
I honour that girl
I used to be.

And the woman
she became 💜
