In response to Ragtag Daily Prompt: https://wp.me/p9YcOU-6mw

Gauche
Gauche—
the art
of arriving
half a second
out of rhythm.
Laughing
too loudly
in quiet rooms.
Speaking truths
people preferred
wrapped in silk.
I was never
good
at polished entrances.
My soul
has always walked in
with muddy boots,
stardust in its hair,
and emotions
spilling from its pockets.
Some call it awkward.
Too much.
Too strange.
But there is honesty
in the unrefined.
A kind of beauty
in those
who do not glide
through the world
pretending
to be untouched by it.
Maybe
gauche people
are simply hearts
still brave enough
to feel visibly.
