In response to Ragtag Daily Prompt: https://wp.me/p9YcOU-6m5

Cacography
Cacography—
they call it
bad writing.
Misspelled thoughts.
Uneven lines.
Words that refuse
to behave.
Ink that runs
instead of staying
Inside the rules.
But not everything
meant to be felt
arrives polished.
Some truths
come out crooked.
Rushed.
Raw.
Spilling over themselves
just to be seen.
Perfect sentences
can hide a lie.
Broken ones
often carry truth.
Cacography
is not always failure.
Sometimes
it is emotion
too urgent
to wait for correction.
A heart
writing faster
than the mind
can edit.
And maybe
there is something honest
in that—
words
that don’t ask permission
to be right,
only real.
