In response to Jim’s Song Lyrics Sunday: https://wp.me/p8EzVZ-LfN

This week’s theme is to choose an artist born in the month of May.
My choice is Enya, born May 17, 1961.
Born Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin in Ireland, Enya has become one of the most recognizable and unique voices in music. With over 80 million albums sold worldwide, she remains one of the best-selling artists of all time — yet her presence has always felt quiet, almost otherworldly.
Her music doesn’t demand attention. It invites stillness.
For this post, I chose her song Only Time.
Released in 2000, Only Time became one of her most well-known pieces. It carries a sense of calm, reflection, and acceptance — something that feels increasingly rare in a fast-moving world.
“Who can say where the road goes,Where the day flows… only time…”
There is something deeply comforting in those words. Not everything needs to be understood immediately. Not every question needs an answer right now.
Sometimes, time is the only thing that reveals what we cannot yet see.
Enya’s music exists in that space — between knowing and not knowing, between earth and something beyond it. It feels almost like a pause… a breath… a moment of quiet in the middle of everything else.
And maybe that’s why her music endures.
Because in a world that is always moving, she reminds us to stop.
