Chair
Not just a place
to sit.
A place
that remembers.
My grandmother’s
rocking chair—made for her
when she was small.
Held her.
Rocked her.
Carried quiet moments
I’ll never fully know.
Then my children—
one by one—
small hands,
soft laughter,
the same gentle motion.
And now…
my granddaughter.
Four years old.
Rocking
in the same chair.
Different time.
Same rhythm.
Because some things
are not passed down
as objects—
but as love
that stays.
With love
