After the Rain
It always comes after.
Not before the storm, not during the breaking — only when something has already passed through. Light meeting what was once falling, what once felt like too much. And suddenly, there it is.
A rainbow doesn’t force itself into the sky.
It happens when opposites meet — sun and rain, shadow and light — and something in between decides to reveal itself. That’s what I keep thinking about. How beauty isn’t separate from struggle. It’s born from it.
The field doesn’t question it.
Flowers still open. Seeds still rise. The earth doesn’t hold onto what just happened — it simply receives what comes next. Maybe that’s the lesson we keep missing.
We want the rainbow without the rain
But it doesn’t work like that. It never has. The promise isn’t that storms won’t come — it’s that something can follow them that reminds us we made it through. Across cultures, rainbows have long been seen as symbols of hope, renewal, and connection
And standing here, in this quiet after…
it feels like the world is saying —begin again.
