Where Silence Speaks
The house is quiet, but not empty. Morning light moves slowly across the floor, touching objects without asking anything of them. I sit with a cup in my hands, listening—not for sound, but for what settles underneath it. Silence has never been absence. It holds breath, memory, the things that do not need to be said aloud. I have come to trust it more than noise. In silence, nothing performs. Nothing rushes. It simply allows what is true to rise, unforced. Even the smallest movements feel louder here—the shift of light, the turning of thought, the quiet recognition of something within me that does not need words to exist.
