Word of the Day Challenge | 27.04.2026
In response to Alice DeForest word prompt: https://wp.me/s9Zf6z-district

A district is a place.
A defined area.
A section on a map.
Lines drawn
to separate one from another.
Different districts
hold different stories.
Different people.
Different rhythms.
Different ways of living.
Some feel familiar.
Some feel distant.
Some feel like home.
But a district
is more than boundaries.
It carries energy.
Memory.
Identity shaped over time.
We grow up in districts.
We move between them.
We carry pieces of each
within us.
Because even when we leave—
something stays.
A district is not just
where you are.
It becomes part
of who you are.
With love
