There comes a moment
when silence
is no longer peace.

When bending
becomes breaking.
When accepting
becomes erasing.

And something
within you rises.

Refuse.

Not loudly.
Not in anger—
but in clarity.

A line drawn
not against others—but for yourself.

I will not shrink.
I will not carry
what is not mine.
I will not become
less to make something else comfortable.

Refusal
is not rejection.

It is recognition.

Of your worth.
Of your limits.
Of the quiet truth
that says—
this is where I stand.

Because not everything
is meant
to be endured.

Not everything
deserves access
to your energy,
your time,
your heart.

And there is power
in that knowing.

Not harsh—
but steady.

Not reactive—
but rooted.

To refuse
is to choose.

To step out
of what diminishes you
and into
what honors you.

And maybe
that is where strength
truly begins—

not in what you accept…

but in what
you no longer will.
