The Daily Spur.

In response to Nox’s daily Prompt: https://wp.me/p9YfKm-2cy

Rank
is a measure.

A number given,
a place assigned—above,
below,
before,
after.

We are taught
to understand ourselves
this way.

Better.
Worse.
Higher.
Lower.

But life
is not a ladder.

Not everything
can be ordered
or compared.

Some souls
move in ways
that cannot be ranked.

Kindness
has no position.
Love
has no hierarchy.

I have learned
that worth
is not something
to be measured.

It is something
we carry—quietly,
without number.

And no system
can truly place
what was never meant
to be compared.
