Against
Against.
It sounds
like opposition.
Like standing
in front of something—pushing back.
Holding your ground.
Resisting
what comes
toward you.
And sometimes…that is exactly what it is.
A boundary drawn.
A line that says—not this.
not anymore.
Because to stand against
is not always conflict.
Sometimes,
it is clarity.
The moment
you recognize
what does not align.
What does not feel right.
What no longer belongs in your space.
And instead of bending—
you remain.
Steady.
Present.
Unmoved.
But there is another side
to “against.”
The quiet ways
we turn it inward.
Against ourselves.
Against our own thoughts.
Our own feelings.
Our own becoming.
Fighting
what we are still learning
to understand.
And that…
is where the shift happens.
Because not everything
needs resistance.
Not everything
needs to be pushed away.
Sometimes,
the strength
is in knowing
what to stand against…
and what to stand with.
To hold your ground
without closing your heart.
To be firm
without becoming rigid.
To choose
where your energy goes.
Because “against”
is not just opposition.
It is direction.
A way of saying—
this is where I stand.
