A waterfall does 
not hold back.

It moves—
with force, 
with grace,
with certainty.

Water gathers,
then lets go—
falling freely 
into what waits below.

There is no hesitation.
No second thought.

Only release.

I have learned 
that emotions 
can be like this too.

They build quietly,
layer upon layer—
until they need to fall.

Tears,
words,
truths 
long held inside.

Not everything 
is meant 
to be contained.

Some things 
are meant 
to pour through us—
to cleanse,
to carry away 
what we no longer need.

And like the waterfall,
we are still whole 
after the fall.
