For Writer’s Workshop 14.04.2026
In response to John’s weekly Prompt: https://wp.me/p18YYd-hkj
Write a post based on the word expire.

Expire
To expire is not only to end, but to exhale. A final breath released into something unseen.
We fear the word because it sounds like loss. Like something taken, something finished before we were ready.
But everything has its moment of completion. Even pain. Even chapters we thought would last forever.
Some things expire so that space can open. So that something new, something softer, can arrive.
I have learned that not every ending is a failure. Sometimes it is a quiet agreement between what was and what can no longer be.
And maybe that is what we forget. That to expire is also to let go. To loosen our grip.To trust the next breath will come.
