What do you see? 13.04.2026

what do you see? https://wp.me/paf3ao-n3Z

This image shows the view from inside a hotel room out of the window. High rise buildings present a calm scene. According to the photographer it is; Nobu hotel-Chicago; the city never asks to be let in. The bed is made and the room seems unoccupied.
The bed is untouched
—a pause folded into white sheets,
as if someone almost stayed
but chose not to.
Curtains breathe softly,
holding the outside
at a distance without ever closing it out.
Because the city doesn’t knock.
It doesn’t ask.
It simply is—
tall, steady,
indifferent to who is watching.
Windows frame a world that keeps moving whether you join it or not.
What I see is a quiet in-between—
a room not yet lived in,
or already left behind.
A place where you could rest,
or think,
or decide to step
into the noise below.
Because sometimes the loudest part of a city is not its streets—but the silence of a room that holds your next choice.
