In response to Di’s weekly Prompt: https://wp.me/p3RSgb-wti

Here are this week’s questions:

1. Do you play a musical instrument?

Yes.

I play the piano, keyboard, and guitar. Music has always been a natural language for me — something I feel as much as I play.

2.Is there an instrument you wish you could play?

A flute.

There’s something so pure and airy about its sound — like breath turned into melody.

3.Can you read music?

Not very well.

My husband has tried to teach me for over 20 years… lol. I tend to play more by feeling and intuition than by reading notes.

4.Do you have a favourite memory that involves music?

It’s hard to choose just one.

Music has been part of my life since I was a child — woven into so many memories, moments, and emotions. It’s not just something I do… it’s something I live.

Gratitude

I’m grateful for music —for the way it speaks when words fall short, for the memories it holds, and for the part of me that has always known how to listen.

Thanks for joining in Maggie. I know what you mean about feeling the music. My Dad always knew when something was on my mind, not because of what I was playing, but the way I played it. By changing one chord from major to minor or vice versa, or changing the tempo alters the entire piece. I did it a lot growing up and my Dad knew me so well.

You are lucky your dad knew you so well, and let you learn to trust your musical ear. 💜
