Becoming Soft Again

It lands without asking—a quiet miracle on ordinary white.

Wings like painted eyes, watching without judgment, resting without fear.

Once, it was something else.Hidden.Unseen.Becoming in darkness no one applauds.

Now it opens—not perfectly, not forever—but enough to be witnessed.

I think of all the ways we change quietly, shedding what was necessary but no longer needed.

The world calls it fragile. But there is strength in softness,in colour,in choosing to unfold after everything that tried to keep you closed.

It doesn’t stay long.It doesn’t have to.

Its presence is enough to remind me—transformation is never wasted.
