Lifetime

A lifetime is not measured only in years, but in moments that leave a mark. In the quiet decisions no one sees. In the times you chose to stay, and the times you finally let go.

Some lifetimes feel heavy, as if they carry more than one story at once. Others pass like a gentle breeze, unnoticed until they are gone.

I think a lifetime is made up of all the versions of ourselves we have been. The child who felt everything. The one who learned to protect. The one who dared to open again.

We are not the same person from beginning to end. We are a collection of beginnings, stitched together by experience.

And maybe that is the truth of it. A lifetime is not something we survive. It is something we become.
