Not everything we quit
is a loss.

Some things
are meant to be laid down—
gently,
without guilt,
without explanation.

Today felt
quite different.

Not loud,
not demanding—
just a subtle shift
in the way the world
met me.

Or maybe…
in the way I met it.

There was a quiet
I didn’t want to fill.

No need for noise,
for distraction,
for proving anything
to anyone.

Just space.

Just breath.

Just the soft knowing
that not every ending
needs to be dramatic.

Some are simple.

A release.
A letting go.
A choice
to no longer carry
what weighs too much.

And in that quiet,
I found something unexpected—

peace.

Not loud.
Not overwhelming.

Just there.

Waiting
for me
to notice.
