But April had a way of laughing at plans, slipping chaos into the smallest cracks.
The message arrived out of sequence, out of place, refusing to follow her carefully arranged world.
And in that moment, she realized the illusion — order had never protected her, only delayed the truth.
So she let it fall apart, and for once, the chaos felt exactly right.
