Challenge

Challenge has always felt like my middle name, whether I chose it or not.
Life has a way of placing tests in front of me, as if asking, “Who are you now?”
And each time, I have answered—sometimes strong, sometimes broken, but always present.

Something I learned again this March is that not everyone has your best interests at heart.
Words can be beautiful disguises, wrapping intentions that are not always pure.
It is easy to get blinded when you lead with an open heart.
But awareness is a quiet strength that grows each time you listen to your inner voice.

If I could write a letter to my five-year-old self, I would begin gently.

My dear little Maggie,
You are not too much.
You are not wrong for feeling deeply.
The world will try to shape you into something smaller, something quieter—but don’t let it.
There will be challenges that feel too heavy for your small hands, but you will carry them anyway.
And one day, you will understand that your sensitivity is not your weakness, but your greatest gift.
Trust yourself, even when others don’t understand you yet.

Challenge will follow you, yes.
But so will strength.

This is the loveliest letter. I wish more of us were taught that our feelings didn’t make us weak. 💛
