In response to Di’s daily Prompt:
https://wp.me/p3RSgb-wjl

There is a story
in the way we walk.
A quiet language
held in our gait—
not just steps,
but echoes
of everything we carry
and everything we’ve learned
to release.
Today, mine felt softer.
Not hurried,
not heavy—
just present.
Each step
meeting the earth
with a kind of knowing,
as if the ground beneath me
wasn’t something to cross,
but something to feel.
Grass brushed lightly
against my skin,
alive, whispering—
reminding me
that life does not rush
to become.
It simply grows.
And I walked through it
like a living gallery—
moments framed
in light and stillness.
Sunlight filtering
through unseen windows,
painting everything gold.
Even the ordinary
felt sacred.
Each breath,
each movement,
a piece of art
I didn’t need to understand—
only experience.
This is what I am learning:
not all galleries
have walls.
Some are made of mornings,
of quiet paths,
of the way your heart
feels lighter
without asking why.
And in that space,
your gait changes—
not because you try,
but because something inside you
has softened.
Has opened.
Has remembered
what it feels like
to simply be.
So I walk—
not to arrive,
not to escape—
but to witness.
The grass beneath me.
The gallery around me.
The rhythm within me.
And for a moment,
everything aligns
into something simple,
something true—
A life
that doesn’t need to be rushed,
only lived 💜
