Easy.

Such a tempting word.

We are always told to choose what feels easy, to follow the path of least resistance, to not make life harder than it needs to be.

But life doesn’t always ask us what we prefer.

Some things are easy to say, but hard to live.
Some things are easy to start, but hard to continue.

And sometimes the hardest things… are the most necessary.

It’s easy to walk away.
Hard to stay.

Easy to stay silent.
Hard to speak truth.

Easy to close your heart.
Hard to keep it open after it’s been hurt.

I used to think easy meant right.

Now I’m not so sure.

Maybe easy is comfort.
And hard… is growth.

Maybe the hard path is not there to break us,
but to shape us.

And maybe, just maybe,
what feels hard today
will one day feel like the easiest truth we ever learned.
