Daily Prompt — 1880
You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?

For me the answer would be simple: car.
A car gives you freedom. You can stop when you want, take a different road if something interesting appears, or simply pause to enjoy the view.
Living here in the Canary Islands, I have already taken many small road trips around the island. Some were planned, others just happened because we decided to drive somewhere new for the day.
Even after living here for many years, there are still places I haven’t visited yet. Small villages, hidden beaches, mountain roads, and viewpoints that appear suddenly when you turn a corner.
That’s the beauty of travelling by car.
You are not rushing from one place to another like on a plane or train. Instead, you experience the journey itself — the changing landscapes, the unexpected discoveries, and the quiet moments along the road.
Sometimes the best trips are not about reaching a destination.
They are about the road that takes you there.
