Somewhere out on the blue horizon
a white yacht glides slowly across the sea.

From the shore it looks effortless —
just wind, water, and freedom.

Watching it gives me a sudden yen
for adventure.

Not a grand escape,
just the simple wish to follow the wind
and see where the day goes.

But life has a gentle way
of keeping our feet on land.

Responsibilities give a quiet yank,
pulling us back to ordinary things —
tea cups, dog walks,
and the comfort of home.

And maybe that’s alright.

Because sometimes
the best journeys
are simply watching a yacht drift by
while dreaming
of where the wind might carry you next 💜.
