Today’s Word: Principal

In response to Alice DeForest word prompt:

https://wp.me/p9Zf6z-2uk

Principal

Principal can mean different things.

In school, the principal is the person in charge—
the one responsible for keeping everything running,
for guiding students and teachers alike.

But principal also means something deeper.

It can mean a fundamental truth.
A guiding belief.
A value that shapes how we live.

Principles are the quiet foundations of character.

They don’t always show themselves loudly.
They appear in choices—
in moments when no one is watching.

Do we act with honesty?
With fairness?
With kindness?

Principles are not about perfection.
They are about direction.

They remind us who we want to be
even when the world pulls us in different ways.

And perhaps the strongest principal in life
is the inner voice
that quietly says:
Stay true to yourself.
