cars passing,
phones ringing,
people rushing toward important things.

And you sit there wondering
what your small part in this vast universe really is.

But the universe has a strange sense of balance.

A kind word offered unto someone who needed it.
A quiet moment of listening.
A message sent at just the right time.

None of these things look powerful.

Yet they ripple outward
in ways we rarely see.

So perhaps feeling useless
is simply a trick of perspective.

Because even the smallest light
belongs to the universe
and shines unto someone else
when they need it most .
