In response to Di’s weekly Prompt:

1. What is the worst place you have ever lived in (house, town, caravan, other)?
A camping hut.
My husband and I once decided to surprise some friends and drove off without planning much — just packed the dogs and went. When we arrived, we took a small camping hut for the night.
Oh my… it was terrible.
I was pregnant with our first child together at the time. My three older children were on summer holiday with their dad, and after seeing that hut we quickly asked our friends if they could look after the dogs while we drove into town and found a hotel instead.
Some adventures are better in theory than in reality.
2. Would you like to live in a large property with a big garden or a small cottage in the middle of nowhere?
A big house with a large property might be nice… for a night or two.
But not forever.
Too much space can feel lonely. I prefer something that feels warm and lived in.
3. Do you feel comfortable in a crowd or group of people?
No.
I tend to absorb the emotions around me like a sponge. With my sensitivity — what I often call my “gift” — I can feel other people’s moods and pain very strongly.
Large crowds can become overwhelming.
4. Do you enjoy your own company?
Absolutely.
I always have, even as a child.
Solitude is not loneliness for me — it’s where I recharge, think, write, and simply breathe.
Gratitude:
I’m grateful for quiet moments.
For intuition and sensitivity, even when they can feel heavy.
And for the inner peace that comes from being comfortable in my own company.
