What do you see ? #331

In response to Sadje’s weekly Prompt:
https://wp.me/paf3ao-mRj

Someone rearranged the keyboard
when no one was looking.

Not letters,
but endings.

Bad.
End.
Ing.
A small face that forgot how to smile.

Pressed together,
they whisper a sentence
many of us know too well.

Bad ending.

But keyboards are strange things—
their power is not the word
but the order.

Move one piece,
shift the meaning.

Ending bad
is not the same
as bad ending.

What I see
is a quiet reminder
that stories are not fixed.
They are typed, erased, rewritten.

Even sadness
is sometimes just a key
waiting to be placed
somewhere else.
