Harbor
A harbor is not the ocean.
It is the pause
between voyages.
Ships arrive carrying storms in their wake,
salt on their hulls,
stories no one else heard.
And the harbor does not ask questions.
It simply opens.
Calm water.
Steady docks.
A place to mend sails
and breathe again.
No ship is meant to stay forever.
Harbors are not endings.
They are mercy.
A moment where the wind quiets,
where direction can be chosen again.
Sometimes we become harbors for each other—
holding space for tired hearts,
for battered dreams,
for travelers who need one safe night.
The ocean will always call again.
But every soul deserves
a harbor first.
