Enigma

An enigma is not confusion.

It is depth
that refuses simplification.

We call someone an enigma
when we cannot read them easily.
When their smile does not explain their history.
When their silence carries more than words.

Not everything needs decoding.

Some stories are meant
to unfold slowly.
Some souls
are not open books
but locked journals
with intentional keys.

An enigma unsettles those
who demand clarity on their terms.

But mystery is not deception.

It is sovereignty.

You are allowed
to keep parts of yourself
untranslated.
To hold layers
that only time reveals.
To answer questions
without offering your whole archive.

The ocean is an enigma.
The night sky is an enigma.
The human heart
certainly is.

Not everything mysterious
is broken.

Some things are simply
too intricate
for surface understanding.

And that
is power.
