Where the Light Waits
Two paths.
Two silences.
Both taken by you.
One is winter—
a snow-buried street
holding its breath beneath stone walls.
An old building keeps its secrets.
A single lamp burns amber against the cold,
refusing to let the dark
have the last word.
The other is green and breathing—
a wooden bridge threading through tall pines,
boards seasoned by rain and time.
It does not rush you.
It invites you.
Step by step into deeper quiet.
What do I see?
The same soul in different seasons.
One moment lit by endurance—
standing still in frost,
finding warmth in a single glow.
Another carried by movement—
choosing to cross,
trusting the strength beneath your feet.
Snow or forest.
Lamp or path.
Both are thresholds.
Both are yours.
