Gregarious is easy
for some.

Rooms full of laughter.
Voices overlapping.
Energy building in circles.

Some people bloom in crowds.
They gather stories like confetti.
They move through conversation
like it’s music.

I used to think gregarious
was the standard.
That being quiet
meant lacking something.

Now I see it differently.

Gregarious is not better.
It’s just one rhythm.

Some of us are riverbanks,
not festivals.
We prefer depth to volume.
One steady connection
over a hundred passing sparks.

Still—
even the quiet ones
can be gregarious in the right company.

When trust is present.
When the laughter feels safe.
When we don’t have to perform.

Gregarious, perhaps,
isn’t about noise.

It’s about belonging.
