That’s a beautiful question.
The greatest gifts I have ever received are my children.
Nothing wrapped in paper, tied with ribbon, or placed under a tree can compare to the moment you first hold your child and realize your heart now lives outside your body.
I’ve never measured gifts by their price tag. I measure them by intention.
Some of the best gifts I’ve ever received were:
• A crumpled drawing with stick figures and a crooked sun.
• A handmade card filled with misspelled love.
• A small stone picked up from the road because “it looked like you, Mum.”
• Wildflowers gathered in tiny hands.
Those are treasures.
Because they weren’t bought. They were chosen.
Chosen with love. Chosen with thought. Chosen with a child’s pure heart.
That’s what makes something priceless.
It’s never the cost. It’s the meaning.
And the best gifts I’ve ever received still call me “Mum.”
