Word: Flexitarian

In response to Alice DeForest word prompt:

Flexitarian

A flexitarian is someone who eats mostly plant-based foods
but doesn’t completely eliminate meat.

Flexible.
Intentional.
Balanced.

It isn’t about strict rules
or rigid labels.
It’s about awareness.

Choosing vegetables more often.
Letting plants lead the plate.
Reducing without punishing.
Adjusting without guilt.

Flexitarian feels like a gentle approach —
not all or nothing,
but thoughtful moderation.

In a world that loves extremes,
flexibility can be wisdom.

It reminds me that change doesn’t have to be dramatic
to be meaningful.
Small shifts matter.
Consistent choices matter.

A flexitarian diet isn’t perfection.
It’s participation —
in health,
in sustainability,
in conscious living.
