In response to Fandango’s Flashback Friday
https://mymindmappings.com/

Today happens to be Friday the 13th.

But as I looked back, I realised something —
February 13th has visited me before.

On February 13th, 2014, I bought two singing bowls.
I didn’t know exactly why I felt called to them — only that their sound felt like something ancient and steady inside me.

Two years later, on February 13th, 2016, I shared this image on Facebook:

Ships don’t sink because of the water around them.
Ships sink because of the water that gets in them.
Don’t let what’s happening around you get inside you and weigh you down.

Back then, I was still fighting many quiet battles — with my body, with expectations, with the noise of life.

Looking at these three dates now, I see a pattern.

2014 — sound healing enters my life.
2016 — a reminder about emotional boundaries.
2026 — a Friday the 13th that doesn’t feel unlucky at all.

February 13th is not about superstition for me.
Maybe it’s about protection.

Clear the inside.
Guard the heart.
Let the waves stay outside the hull.

And if there is any magic in dates,
perhaps it’s this:

We are always learning how not to sink.

Love that quote about not sinking, Maggie and I never consider Friday the 13th to be unlucky!

      I love that quote too.

Friday the 13 is more about feminine power, and the church feared that…
