A string can bind.
A string can mend.
A string can hold things together
that might otherwise fall apart.

Sometimes it’s invisible—
a thread of memory,
a line of trust,
a quiet connection stretched across distance.

Pull too hard and it snaps.
Ignore it and it tangles.
Tend to it and it strengthens.

I have learned that not every string is a chain.
Some are lifelines.
Some are reminders
that even when we feel separate,
we are still tied
to something that holds.
