I keep waiting for money to multiply
the way problems do —
silently, overnight,
without asking permission.
Alas
Instead, the bills speak loudly,
the balance whispers nervously,
and my best financial strategy
is to mute the app
and hope confidence counts as currency.
Experts say “track your spending.”
I say “protect your peace.”
So I muted the notifications,
made a cup of tea,
and reminded myself that wealth
also includes humour, resilience,
and knowing when not to look.
